Minik – Learn Hebrew · Privacy policy
Scope and contact
Apps By Bros publishes the Minik online language practice and Minik Arithmetic activities. This notice covers these two browser activities, not the separate Android/iOS apps, the older /math/ game, or other games on this website. Updated 8 October 2026. Privacy contact: appsbybros.dev@gmail.com.
Local progress, without names
These activities save preferences, target language, levels, points, streaks, practice history and progress in localStorage on this browser. A random local record identifier connects that progress; it is not a public account. The interface language is remembered in sessionStorage. No name, nickname or sign-in is requested. When this version opens older saved data, existing name fields are removed while practice records are retained. Other users of this browser may see its saved progress.
Backups you control
The Parent Area can export a JSON backup containing local settings and practice records. Import reads only the backup file you choose, validates it and restores it locally. Name fields in older backups are removed on import. Backups are not uploaded to us. Keep exported files private; copies you keep or share remain outside this activity’s control.
Read-aloud and permissions
The speaker button uses your browser/device text-to-speech service in the learning language. Some voices work locally and others may send the text to a speech provider under that provider’s terms. These activities do not record audio and do not request microphone, camera, contacts or precise-location access. You can turn optional read-aloud and sound effects off in settings. If the speech service is unavailable, practice continues without it.
Hosting, advertising and analytics
Loading the activities, images and sounds sends ordinary requests to the website host, which receives technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested URLs and request time. Google AdSense display ads may appear only while an exercise is active, in a separate area beside or below it, never over the question or answers. Selection menus, settings and summaries have no ads. The same ad is retained across question changes without a per-question refresh. Ad delivery and measurement may process IP addresses, browser/device information, ad impressions and interactions, and permitted cookies or local storage. Requests are marked for child age treatment and non-personalized ads. Applicable privacy and consent choices are handled through the site’s configured consent service and Google’s advertising systems; the code does not create consent on the user’s behalf. We do not load a learning analytics SDK or send answers or local learning records to an app-operated learning server. We do not sell those records. Advertising is separate from learning progress. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its processing.
Children and parent settings
These activities are for children and families with adult supervision. Parents can choose levels, target language and audio settings. A grown-up question protects settings against casual access; it does not verify age, identity or parental consent. No personal identifiers are required to start playing.
Retention and deletion
Local progress remains until overwritten or removed in the browser’s site-data settings. Clearing site data for miniklearn.com may also remove data from other activities on the same origin. Private browsing or automatic browser cleanup can remove progress. Export a backup first to keep it; delete downloaded backups separately. Clearing local storage does not erase hosting logs. We cannot remotely retrieve or erase records stored only on your device.
Support, rights and changes
If you email support, we receive your address and the information you send, and use them to respond and handle your request. Do not send passwords or sensitive child information. Depending on your location, you may ask about access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information we hold, and contact your privacy regulator. Parents or guardians may contact us on a child’s behalf. Hosting and speech providers and external websites follow their own privacy terms. We update this notice when relevant practices change.
